The overall tournament format is match play. The 31 lowest handicap players (plus the defending champion) will play a stroke play first round to determine the Championship and 1st flights. The remaining field will be divided into 32 man flights based upon handicap and field size. All players must have a USGA handicap certified by their Golf Professional. A shotgun start will be used with half of the field teeing-off at 8:00 A.M. The second half will tee-off at 1:15 P.M. The split field will alternate tee-off times and culminate with the finals for the Championship flight occurring Friday afternoon.

First, you must have a verifiable USGA handicap. Second, double click on the logo below to get and print the Entry Application. Finally, complete the application and mail it to LBA40. Once your application is received, you will be contacted by a LBA40 Director. Upon the recommendation of the Director, your name will be submitted into the “Fishbowl”. A drawing is held on the third Thursday of every October to determine the applicants who may then be able to participate in the coming year’s event. Participation is determined by the number of existing LBA40 Members who are unable to attend and the order in which the names are drawn from the Fishbowl.
